This is the last topic in IES.PRO series in "THE MONTH OF LOVE" (February)... I got a lot of revelations yesterday and I agree that this is relevant for everyone!

Pre-engagement counseling is important if you’re not engaged yet.

When you are trying to find the love of your life, AVOID these mistakes :

#1: The decision to get married is made too quickly

#2: One or both persons is too eager to be married

#3: The experience base with the person is too narrow.

#4: The couple has unrealistic expectations.

#5: One or both have unaddressed significant personality problems

Finding the Love of Your Life --- STEPS to getting it right!!!

•  Develop a Clear Image of Your Ideal Spouse

Think about what qualities do you want in a mate? “The person of my dreams” VS “The person I can attract” It’s not much on physical appearance. We have to be realistic of what we can attract. Maximize our strengths, minimize our weaknesses.

• Find a Person to Love who is Like You --- 5 Areas are Intelligence, Values, Intimacy (Really deep things that you don’t share in superficial relationship), Interests, & Expectations/Roles

 You both have many similarities. “For couples, similarities are like money in the bank. Differences are like debts they owe.”

• Don't forget the importance of support for your relationship! Value others' opinions.
